Please support you child completing this work.
Please read with your child each day and record this in their reading journal. Reading 20 minutes everyday has a huge impact on their Reading and will support them in accessing the rest of the curriculum.
Maths

This term the children will complete the following topics:
- Place Value
-Addition
-Subtraction

Please support your child at home by continuing to count in 1s (forwards and backwards to 100 and beyond) and counting in 2s, 5s and 10s to support them with learning the 2, 5 and 10 X tables and corresponding division facts. The children also need to learn pairs of numbers that make 10, 20 and 100 fluently. E.g. 2 + 8 = 10, 12 + 8 = 20 and 20 + 80 = 100.
Reading

It is very important that your child reads every day. Please remember to sign your child’s book when you have listened to them read. Your child will be able to change their reading book weekly, once they have been able to demonstrate that they have understood what they have read. This enables the children the chance to increase their fluency and understanding of what they are reading.

The children can also take home another book of their choice from our Year 2 Library. Please read this with your child as well.
