Year 5 Victorian Day

1st November 2021

Earlier this term, Year 5 spent the day finding out about the Victorians. The children, as you can see below, dressed up for the day and looked fabulous. Well done to all the parents and children for the wonderful costumes. First thing, the children spent the morning in  our very own Victorian style schoolroom finding out what it would have been like for children during the era. This was linked very closely to the book, Street Child.

The children took part in various activities for the rest of the morning which included sewing, solving a crime and art in the style of a Victorian artist.

Queen Victoria used to enjoy an afternoon tea every day and so we held our own afternoon tea and enjoyed a Victorian sponge cake. It was yummy.
