Year 1 spend the day exploring Wendover Woods in search of the Gruffalo. We followed many clues and spotted many different characters, from the story, which eventually led us to the Gruffalo. After a quick stop and a bite to eat, we went back into the woods and made log pile houses for the different animals from the story. Before it was time to jump back on the coach, we read and acted the story using our drama skills, which made an exciting retell the story. The masks were fun too. Heading back to school, the coach was very quiet, full of sleepy children. We had an amazing day and the children represented the school brilliantly. Well done to all children and staff for making the trip a huge success.
