Science Competition 2021

2nd July 2021

Castlefield School Science Competition

Over the last two weeks, the children have been working really hard on their entries for the Science Competitions. The competition was split into three different categories for each phase.

A big thank you to our judges; Mr Reid, Miss Eddington, Mr Bishop, Mrs Yates, Ms Drummond and Mrs Lottering.

EYFS - Bug Habitats

For the Early Years, they were required to build a bug habitat. We had some great entries but well done to Rumaysa in Reception for her fantastic bug habitat.
KS1 - Tallest Newspaper Tower

For KS1, the children were required to build the tallest, free-standing tower made out of only 4 sheets of newspaper! We had some fantastic entries but well done to our winner!
KS2 - Longest Marble Run

For KS2, the children were required to build their own working marble run from recyclable materials. We had so many entries that it was so difficult to choose the best. In the end, we voted on the best in each year group and then an overall winner. Well done to all the winners!
